Ford has announced the addition of several optional accessories for the 2012 Fiesta. These options will include a couple for show and at least one for go (theoretically). The idea came to Ford after selling a remarkable 26,000 accessories for the Fiesta from their current catalog, of which a rear spoiler, custom shift knob (manual), and tattoo graphics kit was the popular favorites.
The Premium Sport Appearance Package will consist of blacked out paint on the side mirrors, headlights, grille trim, and rear spoiler, and will also include 16” polished wheels. In addition to the show items, the Sport package will receive a 4.25:1 axle ratio (base ratio is 4.07:1) for the manual transmission models. While Ford has not offered any performance numbers to this new axle ratio, it should theoretically return some slightly quicker 0-60 launches than its current 9.7-seconds (Road & Track).
Ford is also offering several interior trim options for the 2012 Fiesta, in either a Race Red or Oxford White two-tone color scheme. The splash of color will go from the leather seats to the door panels, and then onto the dash (vents, steering wheel) and center stack. And if that’s not furious enough for you, “My Color” adjustable LED accent light kits can be added to the footwells, shift knob, cupholder, and door sills.
