BMW has revealed its new i8 Spyder Concept that’s based on last year’s i8 concept. The automaker’s experimental hybrid line is taken to new heights with the futuristic design of the i8 Spyder that features a two-section folding roof and upward-opening doors. Powering the concept is a 131-hp electric motor that drives the front wheels and a 223-hp turbocharged gas three-cylinder for the rear wheels. It’s said to have 78 mpg fuel economy, a 5-second 0-62 sprint time and a top speed of 155 mph. There is also two electric scooters under the rear glass panel.
