SHOWCARS RULES & REGULATIONS

Welcome to DUB Magazine’s Custom Auto Show & Concert!  Please visit our website specifically tailored for our showcars. In addition to locations, dates/times and venues we have provided information on hotels, electrical needs, load-in, and more:

CHECK-IN/LOAD-IN
Check-In/Load-In will be begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. on SATURDAY. Look for signs that will direct you to the staging area. While in line, you will be classified. After classification, you will be given two wristbands (event passes) and regulations for the event. The classification sheet will be used by the judges when they mark their score sheets, as well as spot your vehicle in the show. Your classification sheet must be clearly displayed on the driver-side window at all times during move-in and show hours.

REGULATIONS
• Placement will be given on a first come/first serve basis.  What this means is that you should get to the venue early.  If a member of your crew arrives late, does not caravan with you, and is not in line with you at the time of roll-in, they will not be placed with you (NO EXCEPTIONS).

• The vehicle must be clean and free of body damage. Project cars and prototypes must be in a completed state.
• NO support vehicles are allowed inside the venue; you must walk/carry your equipment inside the venue. 
• When you check-in, you will be given two wristbands, one for yourself and one for whoever is going to bring you back the next day.
• FUEL REGULATIONS CHANGE SHOW TO SHOW—for more info visit our website (www.dubmagazine.com/dubshow/showcars.html) and click on the “LOAD IN” button.
• Cars will be REQUIRED to disconnect batteries once parked on the show floor. The show will not start until all batteries have been disconnected.
• Tear-Down—Once all spectators have exited the building, roll-out can commence.
• Must be present at Award Show (we DO NOT give out awards if you are not present).

SHOW DAY:
Sunday 8:00am Allowed to re-enter venue for final preparations.
Sunday 10:00am Judging Starts 
Sunday 11:00am – 6:00pm (show hours)
Sunday 5:00pm Award Show at Pepsi Stage

Shop cars and corporate company cars can not compete in REGULAR SHOW CLASSES; they can only compete in Best Shop car or Best Corporate car classes.

***A REMINDER TO ALL COMPETITORS—YOU MUST STAY WITHIN THE LINES WHEN YOU ARE PARKED IN THE SHOW.  YOUR DISPLAY OR DOORS CANNOT GO PAST THE LINES***

ADMISSIBLE DISPLAYS
Displays that are of a disruptive, objectionable or inappropriate nature—as interpreted by show management—will be removed from the show. This also applies if your vehicle is blocking aisle traffic.

a.) Full display must be requested prior to the event date.
b.) Show space is determined by show management. For venues that require special layouts, placements will be at the full discretion of show management staff.
c.) All classes must have at least six (6) registered entries to compete for cash. One vehicle is only eligible to compete in two (2) categories.

LATE ARRIVALS
Placement will be given on a first come/first serve basis. What this means is that you should get to the venue early. If a member of your crew arrives late, does not caravan with you, and is not in line with you at the time of roll-in, they will not be placed with you (NO EXCEPTIONS). Participants arriving for set-up after their scheduled roll-in time can be spotted in any location specified by show management, or may forfeit their show participation rights (NO REFUND).

RE-ENTRY
Each registered car participant will be allowed to bring one person with them at time of roll-in. When you check in, you will be given two wristbands—one for yourself and one for whomever is helping you set up your vehicle. All others will be asked to return to venue when gates open to the public.

AMENDMENTS
a.) The show management shall have the full power in the interpretation and enforcement of all terms, rules and regulations and any further stipulations considered necessary for the proper conduct of the show.
b.) Participants agree to comply with all standards and rules set forth by the judges and organizers of DUB Publishing, Inc. Participant’s failure to comply with such terms, rules and regulations shall entitle DUB Publishing, Inc. to terminate its obligations under this contract.
c.) Participants agree to accept, under reasonable conditions, the final judgment and award of prizes of the judges.
d) Participants agree to comply with all pertinent laws, codes and regulations of municipal or other authorities which affect the display space.

MODELS
All models in your display space must be in good taste. DUB Magazine’s Custom Auto Show & Concert has many minors in attendance, and we need to make sure everything at the show is appropriate for all ages. No lingerie, extremely skimpy clothing and absolutely no stripping or lude acts. Also, if a model in your booth becomes disruptive to the show, management reserves the right to stop any activities.

FOOD & DRINKS
There will be no outside food or beverages allowed inside the venue.

DISPLAY SPACE
All display vehicles, displays, signs, stickers etc. must remain within your assigned show space at all times. Participants will be responsible for removal of all stickers left in the venue. If the expo center has to remove your stickers, the participant will be charged a fee for each sticker that has to be removed. No distribution of literature or placement of literature around the venue will be permitted (literature within your display is fine). Any music must remain within the confines of your space or played at a level not to interrupt the business of surrounding vendors.

CONDUCT & ATTIRE
All DUB Magazine’s Custom Auto Show & Concert participants are expected to conduct themselves in a civilized, non-violent manner. Violence of any kind will not be tolerated. Those responsible for insinuating or participating, either physically or verbally, will be removed from show grounds and escorted off the premises. Violent action will be met to the individual(s) with law enforcement officials who will be prosecuting to the full extent of the law. Weapons of any kind will also not be admitted into show grounds. Any and all weapons confiscated by security or DUB Publishing, Inc. staff will not be returned to the individual(s), so do not bring them. A dress code will also be enforced during the event. No gang attire will be allowed. DUB Publishing, Inc. reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

DISPLAY VEHICLES

Cars going in an exhibitor booth must roll in between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please keep in mind that all display cars must fit entirely inside exhibitor booth. All vehicles must have the gas cap taped off and the battery must be disconnected. We will be strict on this due to fire codes. Please have hoods up and batteries disconnected 6 p.m. on Saturday for inspection. Failure to comply will result in disqualification and removal from show.

1. Vehicles Must Be Pre-Registered Before Roll-ins On Saturday. (No Exceptions)
2. YOUR CATEGORY MUST HAVE 6 REGISTERED VEHICLES TO COMPETE FOR CASH PRIZE.
3. VEHICLES MUST BE DRIVEN INTO SHOW TO COMPETE.
4. ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE ¼ TANK OF GAS OR LESS (DEPENDING ON THE VENUE), IF GAS GAUGE IS BROKEN THE VEHICLE MAY NOT ENTER SHOW GROUNDS (NO EXCEPTIONS).

5. Gas Caps Must Be Taped, Battery Must Be Disconnected.
6. Two Wrist Bands Per Registered Vehicle.
7. All cars must have open hoods, doors and other mods or the mods will not be judged.
8. One sticker indicates your car has been classified, two indicates it has been judged.
9. Absolutely no vehicles moved on or off show grounds until 7 PM.
10. Do Not Connect battery during Show or You will be Disqualified from Competition and Thrown Out. (Air Horns, Audio            Systems, ETC.)
11. Judging Sheets must be at arms reach or vehicle will be disqualified. Judges are not allowed to open vehicles
12. Any Questions About Final Result Please Wait Till All Awards Are Presented, Please Make A Line On The Right Side Of Pepsi Stage. 
13. Due to the nature of move in and move out activities and the ability to ensure safety, children under the age of 16 years are not allowed on the floor during the move in or move out of any show where motorized vehicles or equipment are used or displayed in accordance with Department of Labor standards.

GATES WILL OPEN AT 8AM SUNDAY WRIST BANDS REQUIRED
Trophies will be presented at 5:00PM at the Pepsi Stage

JUDGING WILL BEGIN AT 10AM SUNDAY JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL

General:
1. REGISTRATION: All entries must be pre-registered at the DUB office before Roll-ins.  Judging sheet must be placed on the Windshield Wipers and visible to the judges. Judges reserve the right to disqualify entry if Judging sheet is not visible or accessible. Judging Sheet must include the full name of the entrant (nick names are not permitted). Winners Must Present picture id, or Drivers license. Entries must be ready to be judged by 9am or 10am day of Show.
2. CLASSIFICATION: The judges will enter your vehicle's classification. If a vehicle is placed in the wrong class, it is the owners responsibility to notify a member of the Elite Judging Staff. Questions or clarifications should be presented to the Elite Judging Staff by 10 AM on day of show. All classification will be determined at judges’ discretion based on modifications.
3. OPERABILITY: All entries must be operable and complete to qualify for competition.
4. INFORMATION SHEET: While not required, entrants are advised to provide judges with an information sheet or book listing modifications made on vehicle.
5. ACCESS TO VEHICLE: Judges should have access to vehicle for judging purposes. Judges are not allowed to open vehicles, any modifications should be open or visible for inspection.
6. ACCESSORIES: Accessories are factory made or designed or are aftermarket parts.
7. ALL EXHIBITION AND SAFETY RULES APPLY/DISQUALIFICATION: All owners must adhere to the "Exhibition and Safety Rules" of the Show, which are incorporated by reference herein. Failure to comply with any Exhibition and Safety Rule, or any Exhibitor Rule may be grounds for disqualification, at the sole discretion of the judges.
8. Car Club Must Have Club Decals on Wind Shield, Club Shirts and Appareal. To Qualify for Best Club or Club Participation.

2dr/4dr:  Import Cars with 2 & 4 Doors
Luxury:   Imports That Retail $60,000 or More.
Female Owned: Vehicle must be Registered to Female. (No Exceptions)
Domestic: Any American Made Car
Full Size Car: Any Late Model American Car
Dub Old School: Any Early Model American Car 1985 or Earlier
SUV: Sport Utility Without Cargo Bed
Full Size Truck: Full Size Truck With Cargo Bed
Mini Truck: Compact Size Truck
Street Bike: Any Sport Bike or Super Bike
Custom Bike: Harley Davidson, Custom Chopper or Cruiser
Show Special Interest: Any Golf Carts, Off Road Vehicle, ETC.

Judging Sheet Break Down

  1. Paint-Overall (Paint Job)Points: 1-30pts.
  2. Body Work & Exterior Mods: Points: 1-30pts.
  3. Engine Mods: Points:  1-20pts.
  4. Suspension:  Points:  1-20pts.
  5. Wheels & Tires:  Points:  1-20pts.
  6. Interior: Points:  1-20pts.
  7. Car Audio: Points:  1-20pts.
  8. Trunk, Hatch, Cabin, or Bed: Points:  1-20pts.
  9. Display: Points:  1-20pts.
  10. Extra Credit (Display, Pics, Etc.): Points:  1-10pts.
Maximum Points: Points:  230pts.
To Qualify for Best of Show Class Your Vehicle Must Have An Overall Score of  180 – 200pts.

Absolutely no video cameras will be allowed. Photo cameras are OK.
