Texas Dream Machines Featured

House of Hotrods and Classics is a car enthusiast’s own personal haven, as a shop that makes any car creation dream a reality. Based out of Mansfield, TX (a suburb of Fort Worth), the one-stop shop will help you create the hotrod, classic or custom car of your dreams…just as long as you have the funds to back those dreams up.

The shop actually started as a venture for the owner’s personal creations after several disappointing experiences at other shops in the area. Taking matters into his own hands, House of Hotrods and Classics began with a few hired hands working on all the owner’s cars before word spread like wildfire about the quality and work that the personal shop was pushing out. Soon, the shop was open to the public. Now it’s grown to be one of the most reputable one-stop shops in the country, with skilled artisans, master mechanics and master craftsman that do it all.

The three custom hotrod Chevy Bel Airs are just a glimpse into the type of work that House of Hotrods and Classics does. According to Assistant General Manager Joey Dello Russo, the Bel Air is an iconic hotrod ride, which is why the blue ’57 and black ’55 were chosen as personal customization cars that they showcase at various car shows across the nation. The red ’55, nicknamed the “Fast Lane,” is actually a customer’s who requested that the shop spare no expense at both finding and fixing up his childhood dream car. Since the customer didn’t have his desired car, Dello Russo went out and found one to his exact specifications. The owner then gave Dello Russo free reign on the modifications.

“It was literally sitting out in a field,” Dello Russo explains. “The customer didn’t have the car and didn’t know where to find one. He just came in with a dream and a check book, basically, and left the rest up to us.”

The black ’55 Bel Air show car was built to be a hardcore muscle car with nothing but performance, while the blue ’57 was made to be more the luxurious of the two. “If both of those had a child, it would be the red ’55,” Dello Russo comments. “It has all the luxurious amenities you can place in a car, while under the hood is pure muscle. It’s just a sick hotrod. I drove it, and it literally took my breath away.”

But the shop doesn’t just specialize in hotrods, with Dello Russo stating that they do it all. “We’re motor heads, gear heads, knuckle busters who just want to work on cool cars.”
