: How did this project come about?
: The idea came about after I had painted a Stormtrooper helmet. The owner of the Huracan who is also an artist, Zevi (@zevigg)
, saw it and asked if I could paint his entire Huracan with a blend of base colors. Something similar to the Stormtrooper piece and colors I used on a canvas a few days before.
: That’s quite an undertaking to rattle can an exotic like that.
: You’re telling me! I asked him to give me a day to think about this project since it involved major amounts of time and effort, on top of that it had never been done before as far as color blending an entire car. After some careful thought, I felt confident that I could knock it out of the box even though it was a $200K+ car I'd be using as my canvas.
: What was your vision for the Huracan?
: I always pride myself on setting a trend/ bar and figured this would be a perfect show piece moving forward as I try to create something different from the usual norm of customization. It wouldn’t be complete without some badass wheels and tires. We went with a set of 20” front and 21” rear Vossen Forged
VPS-301s from their Precision Series and paired them with a grippy set of Toyo Proxes tires
. The wheels were entirely painted freehand and the caps have a Tiffany Blue splatter.
: How long did it take to put together and what became of it?
: The entire process was took a total of 3 days with ZEVIGG adding the finishing touches by painting his characters in various areas. It was driven during the Bullrun Rally here in Miami and ZEVIGG is currently cruising/showcasing the Huracan on the streets of NYC - truly rolling art. I’d also just like to say that it was an amazing experience and I want to thank all the parties involved in this artistic project: @richbcaliente
