Continental Tire North America, Inc. has launched a redesigned consumer website at www.continentaltire.com that is easier to navigate, and echoes the graphic scheme of the company’s upcoming new “Confidence” ad campaign. The site also includes links to all of the company’s latest news, promotions and events, as well as a dealer locator and links for consumers to select and register their tires. The company’s products are divided into easily-recognizable categories: Car Tires, Light Truck/SUV and Commercial tires; and an FAQ page and "Tech Docs” section answer consumer questions and provide technical advice.

Splinter Supercar

An entire car made of wood just might be what you’ll be driving in the future. A couple of graduate students at North Carolina State University are building a high-performance, mid-engined supercar from wood composites. These hopeful engineers will use wood wherever possible, including the chassis, body, and large percentages of the suspension components and wheels. The car has a target weight of 2500lbs and a power goal of over 600 horsepower. We just wonder how many splinters they will actually be getting in their endeavors? Ouch.
