Stephon Marbury

Written by Tamara Warren

Stephon MarburyThere is no practicing or working out for Marbury during the off-season. Playing intensely for three quarters of the year, the time off is a welcome respite for the Knicks playmaker.

Among his current post-season hobbies is launching his custom conversion car line, Star Motoring and it’s first release- the fabulous dream machine, the Viant SLV 365. Marbury has thought of everything—planning every detail. The customization wasn’t a solo project; he worked closely with his partners at the New Jersey-based Star Motoring. “It turned into a project,” Marbury explains. “This was definitely a team effort.” For anyone that has the cash to step into the Englewood, New Jersey shop, this team can go to work to create a true driving fantasy on wheels.

From the front end, the Viant SLV 365 looks like a Rolls Royce, with an actual Phantom grill. A stainless steel hood, stainless steel side skirts, suicide rear doors, custom rear lights and a custom tailgate, are only a few of the many features found on this intriguing hybrid. A set of Tyson Beckford 24-inch custom wheels encased in Pirelli tires, size 315/35R24, provide a gentle, yet firm ride, while a supercharged, inter-cooled 6-liter engine, capable of belting out 500 horsepower, provides the muscle. A stainless steel exhaust system, a Brembo Brakes system and 2.8 inches of a European tuned suspension system complete the cars personality.
