Magic Johnson

Written by Edgard Zuniga

Magic JohnsonBeing in the presence of Earvin “Magic” Johnson and hearing him laugh is like sitting near a warm fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day. As a matter of fact, there’s a lot of warmth that comes from the man, who is bigger in person than you can ever imagine... his heart, his kindness, and his great accomplishments precede him. Nevertheless, in the end, it’s always the smile that gets you.

After his remarkable, 13-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Johnson continues to do what he always did best—succeed. Through the Magic Johnson Foundation and his many business ventures and partnerships, Johnson has raised enough money to give back to the financially disadvantaged communities in more ways than one.

Among his many endorsements is a relationship with Lincoln whereby Magic Johnson lends his persona to Lincoln’s fine line of automobiles. Now, take that and add DUB to the formula, and you have yourself an exclusive recipe for quality and elegance.

Inside and out, the one-of-a-kind “Magic” DUB Edition 2006 Lincoln Mark LT is truly remarkable. Designed in conjunction with Johnson, the trademark Lincoln grille certainly grabs your attention, but it’s only natural to gaze over at the huge 24-inch TIS 06 wheels riding on BFGoodrich KDW 305/35R24 tires. The LT’s exterior body parts were painted to match the silver body, and a custom DUB fuel door (from was added. A Belltech suspension package dropped the front end 3 inches and the rear 5 inches, giving the LT a level stance, and a DUB Air intake and a Borla exhaust package were added for an extra bit of power.

The interior is lavish, with more DUB Edition features including a suede headliner and seat inserts Magic 32 detailing and DUB Edition badging. A Kenwood head unit connects to 7-inch Eigervision headrest screens and an Eigervision 15-inch flip-down screen; providing the sounds are two Crossfire amps powering two Crossfire 10-inch subwoofers.
