Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions recently announced the introduction of its Spring 2020 Rugged and Luxurious color collection, which includes six new color and texture options for the company’s Supreme Wrapping Film portfolio.
The Rugged and Luxurious Collection inspires ultimate creativity with a combination of light and dark, gloss and textured films that transform visions of grit and grandeur into a rich visual experience for breakthrough custom creations.
Rugged Supreme Wrapping Film is a 3D conformable, textured color change film that gives vehicles the look and feel of a bed liner without the permanent application. Rugged brings a new toughness to the portfolio in four colors: Rugged Onyx, Rugged Combat Green, Rugged Bedrock Grey and Rugged Marsh Green. It is the first cast film and 3D conformable product available with their goal of giving a lower cost and non-permanent option for wrap installers and auto enthusiasts who were trying to achieve a similar look to a spray-on bed liner. It was developed after observing the trend of permanent bed liner being sprayed onto muscle and off-road vehicles at SEMA 2019.
Luxurious Supreme Wrapping Film features the new Obsidian Black, the company’s deepest, blackest pigment yet, and Satin Dark Grey, a rich hue fit for the driver who appreciates an elite statement. Avery Dennison’s product manager for Supreme Wrapping Film, Matt Khanna, added that “Obsidian is a ‘true’ black that is difficult to achieve in a wrap because it’s hard to have the best of both worlds, meaning a true black and easy to install film. We [Avery Dennison] believe that with this film, we have come closer than anyone [vehicle wrap manufacturer] by giving wrap installers and enthusiasts one of the deepest black colors on the market with a film AND still provide all the installation qualities expected from Supreme Wrapping Film.”
